Weekend Reads #8 – The Travel Hack

Weekend Reading #8 - Travel Hack

I’m writing this right before heading out to Blogstock, so this week is easy!

Blockstock is the world’s first blogging festival. It was put together by the folks at Traverse, an informal and fun travel blogging conference. I spoke about social media at the last conference, and I was asked to speak again!

This weekend I’ll be talking about working with travel brands and sharing my experiences with fashion, travel, lifestyle, and food bloggers.

I am putting the final touches on my talk and will be sharing everything I learned at the conference next week.

Here’s what I read from the blogosphere this week…

Hillside Beach Club, Türkiye {Park & Cube}

I want to be here right now! I use this as a great example in my Blogstock talk. This is a fashion blog that does travel really well, proving that combining fashion, style, and travel can yield great results.

The photos are amazing and I love following someone’s personal story of their travels. Gorgeous beaches + monthly watering meals + beautiful and exotic locations = my dream holiday!

Fashion-forward holiday hotspots and what to wear {SimplyBe}

This is SimplyBe’s cutest interactive map ever. The 20 coolest areas of the world’s coolest cities are plotted on the map. Click on the area you’re interested in and you’ll get a mini-guide with travel tips, where to eat and drink, and most importantly, what to wear there. I wish this was available everywhere in the world. This will make packing much easier. Check it out to fuel your wanderlust or get some holiday packing inspiration.

I’m really happy that India is on the graphic because it’s a very difficult place to pack. I hope you add Paris next on my list!

Dear Bloggers, Love from PR x {Thorough English}

I took a lot of inspiration from this post for my talk at Blogstock. As bloggers, we often think of ourselves when we work with brands and PR, but it’s important to put yourself in their shoes and see what they can do for you, just as you would want them to do for you. Think about what you want.
