Today I decided to write about the most unusual animals on our planet. As it turned out, there are quite a few of them, I didn’t even suspect about many of them before. I'll start my post with the Star Bearer.

In Tennessee, breeders have bred a breed of goats that, in emergency situations, fall into a stupor. This is due to a rare genetic disease – in stressful situations, animals experience complete muscle paralysis, since it is impossible to stand in this state, they fall on their side or back. In this case, the goats are fully conscious. Situations in which a fainting goat can lose “feelings”: a threat to life, a large amount of favorite grain and a charming member of the opposite sex.

4. Ai-Ai, or Arms

Lives in Madagascar. Despite the fact that it resembles a rodent, it belongs to the suborder of prosimians.

A relative of piranhas. Gained fame thanks to human teeth. The basis of the diet of fish is plants and nuts, however, there are legends about biting off male testicles.

It looks like a huge woodlice, lives under water at a depth of 170-2000 meters. It can be up to 37 cm long and weighs 1.7 kg.

7. Snakehead

The fish differs not only in appearance, but in bad character. She devours all the fish in the pond, not excluding her offspring. But that's not all – when everything in the reservoir is eaten, the fish moves to land – in search of a suitable victim, the fish can stay on the ground for up to three days. Attacks on people have been reported.

Saiga have lived on earth since the time of mammoths and saber-toothed tigers, they are one of the most ancient mammals.

The deepest octopus. Can live at a depth of 4900 meters. Personally, it reminds me of Pikachu.
