According to the Ministry of Transportation, the main points of entry are Bali International Airport and two airports in the Riau Islands: Hang Nadim in Batam and Raja Haji Fisabililla in Tanjung Penang.
According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the total the number of foreign tourists arriving between January and February 2022 reached 33,593. “These numbers are actually more than last year, which means that our tourism sector is getting better. Tourists from China accounted for 16.13 percent of the total in February, followed by Russia with 6.77% and South Korea at 6.35%.
Indonesia expects more tourists in the coming months as the government lifted a number of restrictions, including lifting quarantine requirements for international travelers and arrival for dozens of countries around the world.
