Well, hello. And have a nice Sunday. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
We’re enjoying the last of the fall sunshine this weekend, but we’ve also had a fair bit of fall rain! Autumn is my favorite season. I love cold mornings, blue skies, amazing colors, and the comfort of feeling when the clocks turn back. I love Halloween and Bonfire Night and the smell of cold, smoky air.
When I lived in London, I didn’t really appreciate autumn. You won’t get the same colorful effect if you aren’t surrounded by trees and countryside. Autumn in London is a nightmare. Trains run aground and stop due to “fallen leaves on the tracks,” sidewalks become slippery, and walking home in the dark becomes depressing. But autumn in the north is pretty spectacular.
This photo was taken using the 4K function of Lumix GX8. This is very good for taking quick shots and is really necessary for animals, children, and people (like Sam) who don’t like having their picture taken. More information about my camera and his 4K photography can be found here.
I’ve been very busy as a blogger lately, and it’s been a while since I’ve updated on what I’ve been up to, so I thought it was about time.
First of all, we moved to a new house. That’s it! I have started writing articles about decorating a “travel themed home” and the first article was published on Tuesday. See here: Decorate your kitchen with a travel theme
I’m so happy to be in my own home. It’s even better not to get carried away with the idea of boring (and expensive) things like building, plumbing, electrical work, and insulation.
I recently attended several lectures. I have spoken at the Cheltenham Literary Festival, the Telegraph Travel and Cruise Show and the World Travel Market. I can’t believe that two years ago I was terrified at the thought of public speaking and didn’t even like talking to strangers on the phone. Now I’m excited to speak at events like this and love talking about my travel experiences and sharing the insights I’ve gained on my blog.
My Blogging E-Course
I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be launching an e-course on blogging early next year. I’ve been working on this for the past few weeks and have been hinting at it on Snapchat. We have received several emails asking for more information, but we would like to ask that you please hold on to your horses for a little longer. (sorry!)
As a very quick overview, my blogging e-course is aimed at bloggers of any niche, but focuses on the transition from hobbyist blogger to professional blogger.
I’ve been coaching private blogs to both bloggers and brands for the past few years. I’ve been blogging for him for 6 years now and I’ve learned a lot in that time!
The main theme of the e-course is 100% open honesty, hard facts, and no wishful and fluffy statements.
If you want to be the first to know about this course, register below. We will send you an email.

I’m so excited to say that wedding planning is going well! I went to the venue today. A beautiful old barn at the foot of Snowdon in North Wales. It’s next to a lake, so it’s going to have a festival/outdoors theme.
