A necessary condition is a profession in short supply for the country
From February 28, Kazakhstan has a new program to attract qualified specialists to the country's economy from abroad. In a simplified regime, a residence permit can be obtained by foreigners in professions that are scarce for the economy. The list with 21 positions was prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Obviously, under the concept, foreigners in Kazakhstan expect to attract, first of all, the necessary personnel from Russia. The widespread use of the Russian language provides citizens of the Russian Federation with a hassle-free infusion into any workforce.
If a foreigner falls under the new criteria, he will be able to apply for a residence permit for a period of 10 years without confirming his solvency. In particular, personnel for the healthcare system are in demand in Kazakhstan: endocrinologists, oncologists, hematologists, neonatologists. A large list of engineering vacancies from aviation and space systems to chemical production and medicine. And of course, IT-specialists. Even specialized masters of industrial training have a chance to get a residence permit.
Most of all, Kazakhstan receives guests from Russia: last year, about 2.9 million Russians arrived in the country. At the same time, some of them changed the status of a tourist: someone opened their own business, others, having got a job, received the right to a residence permit.
