Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze told in which countries Russian tourists can apply for Visa and MasterCard cards.
“According to experts, those who wanted to get a foreign card have already managed to do this do. But a certain interest in “card” tours remains, the potential in this segment has not been exhausted. Now tour operators offer such trips to seven countries. These are Armenia, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey”, Interfax quotes Maya Lomidze.
The most popular countries among Russians for issuing bank cards are Armenia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan . At the same time, it is easiest to issue a card in Kyrgyzstan, the procedure takes two to three days.
As Maya Lomidze clarified, a year ago, tourists mainly booked turnkey tours to receive bank cards, now there are more situations when Russians order service for issuing cards separately to the main tour package.
