According to the researcher of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Sochi National Park” Galina Soltani, a poisonous mushroom called “red lattice” began to spread near Sochi. It is noted that the mushroom is listed in the Red Book.

«We have never noted a mass accumulation of mushrooms. Usually one or two, but with a carpet, this was not the case. This is the first time for us, this is a rather rare event,” Soltani said.

It is assumed that the spread of mushrooms is associated with weather climatic conditions: high humidity, fog and moderate heat.

Experts warn that the mushroom is extremely poisonous, it should not be touched in any case, but it is easy to notice, as it looks quite unusual and has a bright color. Tourists have been asked to watch out for children who may be attracted to the bright colors of the mushroom.
