India cuts stay on tourist visas to 90 days a year

India reduces the period of stay on tourist visas to 90 days a year

The India Visa Application Center confirmed that according to Tourist visas can stay in the country for no more than 90 days a year, and not 90 days per trip (as before).

The visa center emphasized that this rule applies only to electronic tourist visas ( which are the vast majority among tourists).

From February 14, the following rule is written on all tourist visas:

Maximum stay in India during one Calendar Year should not exceed 90 days.

Accordingly, you can no longer stay on tourist visas for more than 90 days in a calendar year. This rule also applies to previously issued tourist visas.

Representatives of the Indian Visa Application Center in Moscow specified that the new rules apply “exclusively to holders of electronic tourist visas.”
