Digital technologies are one of the most powerful tools for adapting the air transport industry to the current turbulent conditions. Discussion of possible scenarios for the development of the air transportation industry is one of the key topics of the Digital Aviation and Travel conference.

Digital Aviation and Travel Forum: scenarios for changing the landscape of the air transportation market

Analytical credit rating agency ACRA identifies three options:

< li> Inertial scenario, assuming the stability of the geopolitical situation and the preservation of the current restrictions for the Russian aviation market. The total amount of direct and indirect subsidies and other forms of state support will amount to 50–100 billion rubles, and the volume of traffic by the end of 2023 will be 85–95 million passengers, of which at least 85% are on domestic routes.
  • Stress scenario with a significant aggravation of the geopolitical situation and tightening of the sanctions regime. State support will be less than 50 billion rubles, and passenger traffic will be less than 85 million people with a share of domestic air transport of at least 90%.
  • Optimistic scenario with a noticeable decrease in geopolitical tensions and the abolition of a significant part of restrictions for the Russian aviation market. Then we can hope for a traffic volume of 95-110 million passengers with a share of domestic domestic flights in the range of 75-85%.

ACRA considers the inertial scenario as the baseline. The probability of an optimistic scenario is estimated by the agency as low.

The program of the forum is under development, and you can send your opinion on which issues, in your opinion, are the most relevant and require detailed discussion, which speakers would be interesting to invite.

The event is organized by ATO Events with the support of the Russian Association of Air Transport Operators (AEVT).
