Unfamiliar to most Russian tourists, but with beautiful beaches, the African country has included them in the visa-free list. According to a statement made on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Mozambique, Russia was included in the list of countries whose citizens are exempted from the need to obtain tourist and business visas to enter the country.
“The measure will apply to visitors with ordinary passports and will allow you to stay in the country for 30 days with the possibility of extension for another 60 days. Travelers must register on the e-Visa platform at least 48 hours prior to travel and pay a processing fee,” the agency added.
In total, there were 28 such countries, including the USA, Japan, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel and other states. Tourists from all these countries will be able to come without a visa. The question is whether they want to.
By the way, Mozambique is located on the east coast of Africa directly opposite the island of Madagascar, and from the north it borders on Tanzania. Nevertheless, on the tourist map of Russians, Mozambique, to put it mildly, is unknown. However, nevertheless, the country has 2.5 thousand kilometers of the Indian Ocean coast, where there are crowded beaches, such as Tofo, and marine parks. The country is also known for coral islands and reefs and other exotics, including those on the islands off the coast. To imagine the landscapes, it is enough to recall Zanzibar, which was once also absent on the tourist map of Russians, rapidly “advancing” when Tanzania turned out to be one of the few countries that quickly opened up for our tourists after the coronavirus, and charters there were in great demand.
