13 On March 2023, Air Serbia flight JU150, departing at 07:45, opened a new regular service between Belgrade and Budapest. The Serbian national carrier will operate up to 17 flights a week to the capital of Hungary throughout the upcoming summer season.
“Today's flight to Budapest — our first of over 20 destinations planned for this summer season. We will monitor demand and gradually increase the frequency of flights between the two cities accordingly. We believe that the introduction of direct flights will contribute to the improvement of relations between Serbia and Hungary and will make it much more convenient for our passengers to travel throughout Europe,” — Bosko Rupic, general manager for commerce and strategy of Air Serbia, believes not without reason.
Note that the return of Air Serbia to the Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport with flights to Belgrade happened for the first time since 2015.
